Fars Province Fire
Vintage Persian Yalameh Tribal Rug, Hand-Knotted Wool-on-Wool, Diamond Medallion, Rust/Navy/Ivory, 3’5”×4’8”, Mid-20th Century
Single diamond medallion on a rust-red field scattered with Yalameh tribal filler — stylized birds, geometric rosettes, angular botanical forms — against deep navy spandrels packed with multicolor motifs. Wool-on-wool construction throughout. Full lustrous pile with strong color saturation and crisp drawing. Yalameh is a named Southwest Persian village type from Fars Province, closely related to Qashqai but with its own distinct design tradition. Tag-confirmed attribution. Shows its years gracefully.
