A relatively unique and detailed map of New York City and its environs circa the 1870s.

Originally a separate plate from the ninth edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, it spent some (or much) of its life at the Livermore Sanitarium in Livermore, CA. Since its closing in 1965, it has been in a preserved in a private collection.
