Portuguese Filigree Caravel Ship

Gold-tone brass filigree caravel modeled after the Age of Discovery sailing ships. Hand-twisted wire construction with enameled Order of Christ crosses on the sails and “Portugal” enamel label on the hull. Three-masted with billowing filigree sails, rigging, and flags on a matching filigree stand. Bears an impressed maker’s cartouche marked “C.U.” on the hull.
