Paper Art Insect in gilded, ornate frame

The Flight Collection is a series of hand cut insect silhouettes mounted in vintage style frames. The frames are ornately baroque and come in shades of gold and off white. Each insect is cut to order, making each unique in design and exact sizing. The background colors also vary from piece to piece. How They're Made: Each insect is hand cut from archival black paper, with folk art floral patterns decorating the wings and body. The insect is then attached to the a delicate translucent mulberry paper at the body. The mulberry colors range from the palest pink to deepest blues. The body of the insect is mounted on a foam stilt so the wings can have maximum space.
