Vintage Afghan-Baluch Tribal Rug, Hand-Knotted Wool-on-Wool, Repeating Diamond Gul Lattice, Navy/Crimson/Orange, approx. 2’7”×4’11”, Mid-20th Century


All-over diamond gul lattice burns across a near-black ground in crimson and burnt orange — the classic Baluch nomadic palette. Wool-on-wool construction with full lustrous pile and crisp drawing. A genuinely fine example of tribal weaving from the Afghan-Persian border region, where the tradition runs deep and the dyes run hot :)
