A Pictorial History of Yale and Her Sons c.1975

Twenty-odd original zinc photo-engraving letterpress blocks produced in Connecticut 1970-1979 by David Evan Jones. The plates detail the colonial history of Yale's founding: the Hartford site dispute, the Old Saybrook Book War, Elihu Yale's transformative gift, even the first students arriving in Killingworth. The project was almost certainly intended to compliment, or as a response to, Rueben Holden's 1967 Yale: A Pictorial History. No published edition has been located. These plates are believed to be the only surviving archive of a lost Connecticut work.

Jones served as Art Director at Xerox Educational Publications in Middletown, CT and a long time Ancient Mariner and member of the Deep River Fife and Drum Corps. He was internationally recognized for his colonial military illustration work.
